September Critique – You Gotta Have A Hook
Don’t let a reader “get away!” Hook ‘em from the start.
Join us September 27 at Lisle Library for a Windy City Critique Night! Learn how to catch a reader, hook, line, and … well, you get the point.
First impressions are crucial to any reader’s decision—they decide whether your readers want to be pulled farther into your narrative. It’s essential to have a strong “hook”—one that grips the reader so tightly they simply refuse to put your book down.
Join your fellow Windy Citizens in our next Critique Night to make sure you “catch” your readers by making your book un-put-down-able! You are invited to read up to the first 5 pages of the MS for feedback. The critique will focus on perfecting you story’s narrative hook.
There will be prizes.
There may be bait.
The fish are optional.
Email Jennifer (firstname.lastname@example.org) to sign up. We should be able to accommodate up to 5 readers. Spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
