January 13, 2010 Meeting: Everything you wanted to know about RWA National...

... but didn't know how to ask

My hope is to have everyone come with information and stories about their experiences with RWA National in terms of the following:

  • National Conference
  • PRO or PAN membership - how to qualify and why bother to join, as well as the difference between the two.
  • Joining other Chapters - pros and cons
  • The benefits of becoming a member of a Chapter Board
  • And anything else you can think of.

I'd also like everyone to come with questions if they can so between now and the meeting hopefully you can jot questions down or email them to me such as:

  • How do I find out all that RWA National has to offer?
  • What do I actually qualify to join at the National level?
  • Why should I even bother to go to the National Conference?
  • etc.

This is also a chance to meet the new board and have them share their thoughts for the coming year.

We will also discuss the upcoming program schedule for 2010.

We have new members as well as members who may not know all that they want or need to know to enrich their writing experience.

I will be raffling off 2010 Planners - three color choices and quite nifty - as well as some other goodies that I hope help you manage your time and writing, so please come join us at the January meeting on:

1/13/10 at 6:30 PM for refreshments, 7 PM for the chapter meeting and 7:30 PM for the program.

Naperville Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Naperville, IL, Main Street Promenade, 55 South Main Street, Suite 351, Naperville, IL, 60540, (630) 355-4141.

Come to the 3rd floor above Hugo's Frog Bar and we will be in the Chamber Conference room at the end of the hall.  Just following the energetic laughter. (C of C website)

It's a new year and a new decade so it's a good time to rev up your writing energy and try a new path if you're not happy or making progress with the one you're on right now. If you are happy with where you are at in your writing, please come and share the positive energy with the group.

See you at the meeting and have a Happy Writing Day.

Terri Stone

Signing:

Fredericka Meiners, writing as Ann Macela, will be signing her book Wild Magic, which came out last October. It's the fourth in her Magic series. This is your chance to see why these books have been getting so much critical acclaim via contests and other avenues. (She might just have some of her earlier book in the series as well if you're new to these books.)
