For the past thirteen years, she’s learned about fiction (especially romantic fiction) and how to handle author programs from the ground up and is honored to be a two-time recipient of the Northern Illinois Librarian of the Year from Windy City RWA and RWA’s Librarian of the Year for 2008.

A television aficionado, she’s published a bibliography on Star Trek (McFarland, 1991) and is a contributing author to two editions of the Museum of Broadcast Communications’ Encyclopedia of Television (1997 and 2004). Her first fiction short story, Signature Required, appears in the Missing anthology from Echelon Press (Feb 2009).

Susan Gibberman is nearly convinced she was hired as Head of Reader Services at the Schaumburg Township District Library primarily as cosmic karma for never having finished any assigned readings in high school English.
